More Better

By Janet Jenson

I used to know a fellow who despite having several degrees in English loved to say things like "More Better" and "We all make mistrakes." I have several degrees in English, too, and acquired the same habit from hanging around with that guy. He was a pioneer in getting people in fields other than computing to use computers. So if he sees this he will recognize himself. And if YOU see this, you will know that even I sometimes bend grammar and ignore the rules of spelling.

But putting any letter after a Q than U just somehow grates on my last nerve, which is one of the reasons I had not written anything here in a long, long time. Another reason was that I just did not have time. However, some interesting new readers and writers here were nice enough to come by my profile and check out my blog and even put me on follow, so I feel that I should give it another try.

So this is in honor of those guys. If it gets through the censors, then I'll try to find the time and energy to write something more interesting soon. Meanwhile, I hope everyone goes through life questioning authority and breaking a few rules, but thoughtfully, and without malice or wanton destruction.

Somebody went and followed you even though you were inactive? Really? For a long time I thought the Q was a G for the same reason of the missing u. I got over it.

It's a name and that's all. It's kind of like Xerox or Toys R Us and it Helps with Search Engine placement having a unique spelling. Do a search on Google sometime for Poratyo.

They will try to respell it but you will see AnyKeyGraphics is there for this made up word.

Welcome back.

CONTRIBUTOR'S REPLY

Lol, thanks!

"Ain't got no", is one that I use, that really gets my wife's attention in a bad way, Janet. Of course it's all in fun and keeps the conversations going.
Thank you for sharing.
Best to you.
