Just Call Me Dr. Mom
When we got our first AeroGarden I was a nervous mom, hovering over my little green darlings, but afraid to touch them. In fact, I am quite sure they were better off for it, as I may not be the world's worst dirt-gardener, but may be the second worst. Besides, I rationalized, AeroGarden planters do all the work, so "What me worry?" However, shortly after noticing that our kale seeds had sprouted, I noticed something else. If you look at my first photo here, you will see that one of the roots is growing in the wrong direction. So I took a deep breath, pulled the grow pod up out of the planter's grow hole, unstuck the label, opened up the little basket, and ever so carefully turned the sprout around. My second photo shows the result. Umpteen years of college made me a doctor of philosophy, but experience is making me a plant doctor, too. How cool. Don't believe it? Just check out my third photo, which shows just how fast little green guys can germinate and grow in an AeroGarden in just five days, even though some of them started out like "Wrong Way" Corrigan.

I took these photos with a Canon PowerShot 600D using the Macro option. The planter is an AeroGardem Deluxe.
